Where are we now? 9 days of fundraising

Through God's grace we have been able to raise $3,233.00 in just 9 days. I've even recounted the days and recounted the dollars because it just doesn't seem real that those numbers could be correct. The LORD is our provider. Did I mention that money was one of those fears pulling us away from being obedient and saying yes to the call to adopt?  I just believe the Lord sometimes places us in a spot where we are not enough so that he can show us that He is. I know that I am guilty of working within my own abilities rather than the Lord's strength. Watching the Lord show himself faithful through this process is just beautifully overwhelming.

-Thanksgiving Cookie Fundraiser-
I took a sugar cookie class last month and just loved it. It was something I've wanted to learn how to do for awhile. Now it has become a fun hobby. I had the idea to make some fun Thanksgiving cookies and sell them as a fundraiser. I was hopeful to get maybe 10 orders. You guys DID NOT disappoint! 435 cookies were done in 3 days!!

We ended up making over $1,000 selling cookies alone.
All of the money we made selling cookies went back into buying pieces of our puzzle. So if you bought cookies then your name is on a puzzle piece or two!

Delivery Day!

So thank you to everyone that bought cookies! I'm looking forward to doing Christmas cookies too!

-Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser Update-

So here we are. Each of those pieces has a name on the back of it. It is so exciting seeing the puzzle start to form and take shape. Crossing off one of those boxes just makes me so giddy. I know each time we cross one off it brings us just a smidge closer to meeting our baby. I really can't put into words how much these donations mean to us. THANK YOU!

-Paperwork in Progress-
We are currently getting ready to start the homestudy process. We have to be homestudy approved before we can submit for CARA approval (Central Adoption Resource Authority). Adoption in India is governed by CARA. We are really looking forward to getting the homestudy behind us so we can keep moving forward. It seems so far away but I'm just longing to see the first picture of our baby's face.

Those are all of the updates for now. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything. Thank you to those that have encouraged us, that have been supportive of us. Thank you to those that have prayed for us and given to our fundraising. We are so humbled and grateful!

With love,
Whitney
