FUNDRAISING - Building our family piece by piece

Hi friends!

Thanks again for all of the excitement and support we have already received. It really does mean so much to us! We are so excited to share how we plan to fundraise for our entire adoption. I sure wished money wasn't a factor but truth is, adoption is expensive. Very expensive. This was also one of those fears the enemy kept telling us. "You can't afford this." Truth is, we can't afford this. But we serve a big God and know he can do big things. This is the part that I kind of dreaded. I mean, who likes asking others for money? It's not easy. It's not comfortable. I have to tell myself that this is an opportunity not just to ask people for money but to ask people to be a part of the journey of bringing our child home. I mean we couldn't do it without the financial giving of others. To know that others would give sacrificially to help bring our child home isn't something we take lightly. Every single dollar donated will be appreciated more than you could know. Another adoptive mama said it was "a tangible way of meeting a need for the body of Christ." That has stuck with me.

We need to raise $45,000. I know, ouch! Adoption is so expensive! Looking at the number can easily overwhelm me. We are currently stuck at the point where two big fees are due and we can not move forward until those are paid. FIRST AGENCY FEE: $3,562.50 IAAME FEE: $500

So here is our plan. A puzzle fundraiser! We have seen this done a few times.  We just love how simple it is and how it makes a giant number like $45,000 seem not so scary.

We have turned this image into a 300 piece puzzle. Each piece is "for sale."  So, piece number 75 is $75. Piece number 119 is $119. So that would make the most expensive piece being $300. Once each piece of the puzzle is purchased then we will have raised our entire goal of $45,000!!!! 

Here's how to donate:
-You can send me a direct text message or email (whollenbeck88@gmail.com) and let me know which puzzle piece(s) you would like to purchase. This can be a one time donation or even monthly.

No matter the amount we receive. Every dollar will go towards purchasing a puzzle piece until every piece has been purchased. For example, if we were to receive a $500 donation then we would split up that amount and use it to purchase pieces that equal the $500 donated. 

Your name will go on the back of the piece(s) that you purchase. We want to pray over every single name that donates. We want our child to be able to look at the back of the puzzle to see the names that gave to bring him/her home. We plan to hang this puzzle in a double sided glass frame that will hang in his/her room. 

I will share monthly the pieces that are available. This will give us a visual of the pieces that have been purchased and the ones that are available.
